A self-professed digital geek, marketing veteran Kelly Downing is a first adopter of the newest social and digital platforms. She identifies the best avenues for brands to communicate directly with their audience and determines the platform-specific content and voice through which to deliver the message. She sifts through endless analytics to uncover predictive behavioral patterns for existing and potential customers, leveraging that data to boost a brand’s bottom line with traceable ROI. Whether it’s social media strategy or digital influencer campaigns, Kelly leads sustainable and meaningful conversations in the digital space.

Working with sports teams, events, agencies, and consumer brands, Kelly began her career with the New England Patriots and New England Revolution, managing TV rights and creating unique digital content, which put the Patriots at the forefront of the NFL for delivering content to fans. Kelly also consulted on marketing, sponsorship, and operations for FIFA and CONCACAF, before entering the agency world to lead marketing and PR initiatives for brands like Starbucks, Yoplait, Green Giant, Jiffy Lube, and OceanSpray, as well as various athletes across MLS, NFL, and LPGA. Before joining State6, Kelly worked on digital and social media strategy for the Boston Red Sox, Fenway Sports Management, Liverpool FC, and the New England Revolution.

Kelly is a graduate of Syracuse University. She serves as a member of the Sports Management Board of Advisors for the David Falk School of Sport and Human Dynamics.
